Last week lots of things happened. Stay safe with some knowledge you might have missed.

KNOW YOUR TARGET AND WHAT LIES BEYOND!
Don’t let this happen to you. Have procedures in place for when people come home so they don’t surprise you. Talk to your family about self defense and announcing themselves when they arrive.
And even if someone surprises you, know what and who you are engaging before you fire your weapon… please. Learn from others mistakes.
This carjacking in Houston happened so fast the owner never saw it coming. This is a hard one. Look at the guy walking down the street and then sprints to the opening of the door at the start of the video.
Do you look for weird vehicles in your neighborhood? Do you watch vehicles following you? Do you notice vehicles parked and running when you go places.
The best way for this owner to avoid this entire things would have been for him to drive away when he saw the white car lurking about with people in it doing nothing.
P.S. The cameras didn’t help him stay safe, they are now only helping the police get the bad guys.
