Today:

Last weekend I sold guns at the Big Town Gun Show just outside Dallas Texas.  I worked for my old boss at Sparks Firearms.  I worked at Sparks Firearms for about four years selling guns at gun shows and in the shop.  The shop has since closed and only sells guns at a gun shop and by appointment only.

It had a blast being around all the gun people for the weekend and making money selling guns.  I think it maybe one of the things I do best and I really enjoy it.

In this podcast I’ll share my experience of how the gun industry and gun market are looking right now.  As well as some of the research I’ve been doing lately about what is going on.

I had some interesting observations on a social level too, like: Covid is annoying, and racism really does still exist, and what’s scarring new gun buyers into buying.

OUTLINE:

What I saw by working at a gun show last weekend:

  • Lots of new gun buyers
  • Lots of people
  • Racism lives in small pieces even in the firearms industry
  • Covid is annoying
  • There are people that don’t believe they can get sick from Covid
  • Small amounts of guns in stock
  • Prices are up 30-50% from last year on most guns
  • Everything selling at or above MSRP
  • Deals are on high end guns right now
  • Ammo was there, for an inflated cost
  • Accessories were slightly above MSRP
  • You can get things, but you are going to pay for it… top dollar and some time to find it

Thanks for listening, don’t forget to check out the Shooter’s Club, and if you need ammo check out Lucky Gunner.

Stay Safe,

Ben

P.S.  I just set up a self-defense handgun course for Sep 2020 in San Antonio, check it out
