Podcast Outline:

This is back to basics:

How aware are you?  Check your awareness with a couple of easy questions:

  • When was the last time someone surprised you?
  • Where are the exits where you are right now?
  • If you are traveling, where are you exactly?
  • When was the last time someone bumped into you? Or you into them?

How to Improve your awareness:

  • Simple:
    • 5 – 25 Scans (a way to make sure you are scanning you environment near to far)
    • Look both ways as you exit or enter a place and then scan near to far in an arce around the place
    • Find the exits to anyplace you go to every time you go someplace
    • Talk to someone about awareness, compare notes about things and people around you
  • Advanced:
    • Why are people there?
    • Look ahead and anticipate what people are going to do after you answer why they are there
