Today:  Having a security mindset can keep you safe before you have to use any other self defense technique.  Setting up your life so you don’t have an actual confrontation that puts you, your family, or your home in jeopardy is the best way to defend yourself.

We discuss the different security mindsets from Law Enforcement, Military, Civilian, and a Security Professional’s point of view.  You make think they are the same, but they are very different.  Thinking one is the way to go may not help you.  Pick your source of information carefully.  I used security professional as a term because if I put security guard it has a negative bias to it.  But you would be surprised what a security guard knows about security that other professions don’t see.  As always there are crappie ones and great ones.  But you want to security your home, your family, and yourself like a professional security guard would not any other profession.
