Operation Gun Rights Week 2

Operation Gun Rights is continuing.  The Congress will come up with more and more stuff crap they will call “reasonable” to add to the 20,000 plus gun laws that already are on the books.

Two weeks ago Tom Gresham on Gun Talk Radio announced Operation Gun Rights.  He wants everyone to contact their congressman and senators and let them know what they think about gun rights.

I got form letters back from all three of mine.  My two senators didn’t say anything except we will respect the 2nd Amendment.  Not surprising here in Texas.  My congressman sent a letter with a big old BUT on it, and didn’t say anything about what he was going to do.  Here is the letter he sent me back after I asked him not to vote for any gun legislation until at least March when the country could calm down from the resent tragedy and get back to work after the Holidays.

Congress Letter

Here is what I sent him back:

You just sent me a thank you for my concerns about the 2nd Amendment. Your email didn’t tell me anything about how you are going to vote on upcoming legislation or about your views on the 2nd Amendment.

Let me be absolutely clear about my thoughts on the issue. If you vote for anything that contains any firearms legislation before March, I will make it my goal to ensure you never get elected for any office again.

No cop outs, no compromise, no acting out of anger or fear. You will listen to the people in your district on this or we will replace you.

Thank you,

I then called his office on the phone to ensure that my voice was being heard.  I’ll be sending letters this week and calling again.  I think you should do the same.  If Congress and the President go too far and start confiscating guns it will spark a bloody revolution here in the US.  And that is not good for anyone.  Call your Senators and your Congressman and tell them what you think and want.  While you’re at it, call your state level reps and let them know also.

Stay Safe,

Ben
