  • Advantages
    • Simple

    • Overwhelming to create your system
    • Extra webbing
    • Constant adjusting
    • Always attached to rifle

3-Point Sling

 

  • Attachments
    • Front, Back, Middle
    • Can be on the side, top, or bottom of the weapon
  • Advantages
    • Helps carry the weight of the rifle
    • Always at hand
    • Once set up it doesn’t move or require more adjustments
  • Disadvantages
    • Huge amounts of webbing to get in the way
    • Gets tangled
    • Need to take care of it every time you take it off
    • Hard to adjust
    • Can’t just put the rifle down, you have to take care of the sling too
    • Always attached to rifle

General Tips

  • Use plain rubber bands to help with the extra webbing when not wearing the rifle
  • Adjusting a 3-point use a first and a thumb
  • Decide what you want the sling to do and how you will use it before buying one
  • Make the sling work for you, not you work around the sling
  • Attachment points are the most expensive part
  • Zip Ties and 550 Cord can work for attachment points
