Last week, like most weeks, lots of things happened. Stay safe with some knowledge you might have missed.
Did you know Black Friday isn’t really that dangerous?
The Hustle of all places did an actual analysis of how many people have been killed or seriously injured during them melee every year.
An estimated 114 million American adults (about 50% of the adult population!) will go out black Fridays. And in the last 12 years there has been 11 deaths and 108 injuries.
If you look at that number, that’s not too bad. That would be about 1 death and 9 injuries out of 114 million people. I’ll take those odds. My guess is more people died going to and from in car accidents then died shopping.
I’ll still watch out, and wear my seat belt, just like any other day.
Give me Sanctuary!
Gun sanctuary cities, counties, and states are growing. I hope Texas expands to be a sanctuary state.
I’m happy to see local governments push back against bigger government oppression of rights. I hope the trend continues for all liberties.
