What you can learn from my combat mistakes.
Today: Today is a Truck Talk Tuesday (TTT). Just you and me on a long drive sitting in the truck talking about guns and self-defense.
I learned a bunch of things that can be applied to your self defense when I was almost killed three times.
I was in the think of the fighting in the Iraqi invasion during 2003 as Marine Infantry. The tip of the spear.
Couple previews:
You will do what you physically practice doing when in a fight.
You can never be over-prepared or too good for when someone is trying to kill you or your family. Always try to beat any standards you are given. Once you can do that, start beating your own time, and just keep getting better.
There will always be an “oh shit” factor that takes you a second to recover from. The more situations you are in the less it is there, but it never goes away. Except it, and see yourself pushing through it.
