Weekly After Action Report for things you may have missed last week.
Last week lots of things happened. Stay safe with some knowledge you might have missed.
Because, sometimes we can make fun of ourselves and self defense
A bomb scare in a Home Depot, in the bathroom, with people laughing about it.
Sometimes you just have to tap into your child self.
This is a crazy scary one. Go to the post and watch the video. What would you do if you where there and saw this happing? What level of force would you use? And you only can use the tools you have on you at this second?
Does the tools you have on you change what you would do?
Florida Man Was Prepared to Handle the Situation
These are always things to pay attention to. This robber lost because the store clerk was paying attention. But watch the end of this one. What do you do during the time the fight is over and when the police arrive?
This is just a simple thought exercise. Where would you sit and why? If you where by yourself, with a friend, or your family, does that change your decision. It does mine.
Steyr Scout Rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor
I always thought the Steyr Scout Rifles where one of the coolest bolt guns on the planet. Now it’s in a really cool caliber. And the price is coming down to something a mere mortal like me might be able to afford, outfit, and shoot.
I think I need one of these rifles just so I can be Jeff Cooper cool.
Guest Spots:
Last week I did two different guest spots on two different great podcasts. If you aren’t listening to these two, I would. And I do.
Handgun World Podcast – Win With What You’ve Got
Bob Mayne had me on the show to talk about a bunch of different topics and we got into handgun fit, .22 pistol conversion kits, competition shooting, what the anti-gun people are saying, rate of fire, and winning the fight with what you have on hand.
Geeks, Gadgets, and Guns Podcast – PCC’s
Matt and Matt (Heinrich) have me on to talk about Pistol Caliber Carbines… but we go off the deep end and talk about computers (why I still have an old Mac), the .300 BLK Out and ballistics, and a bunch of tactics including why and when a full auto gun might be useful and why I would want that over a 3-round burst.
We had a great time and talked forever. If you aren’t listening to these guys you should be. They are off the charts smart and love to test everything. They push the envelope of terminal ballistics on everything.
On Modern Self Protection Last Week:
