Tis the season for travel.  Are you going anywhere this season?  I’m traveling for Thanksgiving and thinking about my personal protection.  This show is all about self defense while you travel.

I want to thank those that took Pistol Fighting Dynamics: Low Light last week, Henry, John, Craig, Richard, Steve, Tim, Mark, and Stacie.  You guys rock.

Air

• No “weapons on air craft
• Things I take
  • Tactical/solid Pen
  • Flashlight
• Other Possibilities
  • Water Bottle with big Carabineer (brass knuckles)
  • Cane
  • Small Chain and Lock
• Guns and Knives
  • Check Baggage
    • Knives: Put my good one deep in my bag and a cheap one on the outside for easy access
    • Guns
      • Declare at counter
      • Sign form and tape to the outside of case if possible
      • Lock up
      • Ammo in a factory box
      • Hide with no outside marks
      • Remove a part of the Gun
• Get your bags first
• Get your knife
• Check to make sure the gun is still there
• No where you are going and who is picking you up
• Map study of the area and airport before you get there
• Flip through the local paper
• Read US Gov Travel Advisements

Car

• Inspection and Maintenance
• Things to Bring
  • Take some repair tools (the ones you know how to use)
  • Have enough stuff to survive the night in your vehicle
  • Cell phone charger
  • Good Flashlight and extra batteries
  • Map/GPS in case your phone doesn’t work
  • Extra Cash (enough to get you home)
  • Firearms/Self Defense Tools
• General knowledge of your route
• General knowledge of where you are going
