Hey Ben,
Started listening to your podcast several months ago. I really like how you get very technical in what you are talking about. Just wanted to share what my EDC consists of. I carry a lot of keys, so i have a key ring on my right front belt loop that also has my remote to my home security system. My house and car keys are in my right front pocket along with a Cold Steel Recon Mini knife. I also keep a Cold Steel Recon 1, 4″ folder clipped inside the same pocket. In my back right pocket I have my wallet and a 4 seven Preon 2 led flashlight. I like this one because it is small, 160 lumens and takes AAA batteries. In my left rear pocker I carry a Leatherman sidekick. Front left pocket is just my fully loaded cell phone. I am in the process of jumping through all the hoops to get my CCW here in California. I live in Kern County so I am lucky. Our sheriff is pro CCW and I have heard that there are more CCW’s in my county then all of California combined. As soon as I am able to carry, I have a Concealement Solutions Black Momba and a Magholder horizontal mag holder, left handed model. I screwed up when I ordered it and thought about sending it back but I messed around with it a bit and found that I liked it, bullets down with butt of the mag right in front of the left side of my belt buckle. My carry gun will be my Kimber Tactical Pro II. I had originally wanted a 5″ 1911 but ended up buying the 4″ and I love this thing. Anyways, just wanted to share my EDC. I’m always changing stuff around, trying new stuff and new locations to see what works best. Do you know who Nutnfancy is on youtube? That guy carries more then you and I combined, but he has an awesome channel. Keep up the good work. I will be listening.
John
Thanks John! Keep going to get your CCW in California. It’s just a lot of hoops to jump through. I’m going to have to check out that flashlight. It sounds pretty cool, does it have a clip or do you just shove it in your pocket?
Kimber makes beautiful guns. They just feel great when you rack the slide and touch off a round. A couple months ago I went shooting with a friend of mine who has one. We where shooting our Glocks and getting good groups. The rounds where almost touching and just off center for me. It takes a lot of effort for me to do this with my Glock. I fired a couple groups with his Kimber and could get smaller groups with half the effort. There something cool about a good 1911 that you just can’t deny.
Thanks for listening and I’ll check out Nutnfacy’s EDC. I haven’t seen that episode yet.
