You ever have that creepy feeling when using an ATM Machine? That wierd feeling is your survival instinct. While using an ATM machine you are volnerable to a robbery. The macine limits visability, your attention is elsewere and you have access to lots of money.
Here’s some things to think about when using an ATM:
– When you can, use an ATM that is inside a business with lots of people around.
– Only use outside ATMs that are well lit and can be see by lots of people.
– When using drive-up ATMs look for the same as above and keep your car running, doors locked, and car in gear with your tires pointed towards an exit.
– If someone walks toward you, (if you can) hit cancel and get your card back, roll up your window and be prepared to drive away.
Remember, it’s only money. You can always cancel your card later, and most banks refund the money that someone took from you at the ATM. Either way it’s not worth your life!
Stay Safe,
Ben
Namakola has a great comment, "Plan ahead of time…" I couldn't have said it better.
