In the News:
Dick’s Sporting Goods is a Dick:
Dick’s once again pulled AR rifles from its shelves because… “We have to do something?” They also raised the age limit to buy semi-auto rifles to 21 in their stores. Wal-Mart followed. And a bunch of other companies that did NRA discounts removed those discounts. If this keeps going down-hill you will have to wear a yellow star to be an NRA member.
Dick’s is the focus here. They did this after the massacre at Sandy Hook. They took all the rifles down and told people they would not be selling them anymore, including the ones that where on layaway. They broke their exclusive deal to sell Troy Firearms, almost putting them out of business. Dick’s did a Black Friday blow out on Troy Rifles, and then quit selling them. They set the price so low on the rifles that Troy had a problem selling them anywhere else. Even though there was a contract for Dick’s to buy the rifles, Dick’s simply said we aren’t doing that and bullied their way out of the contract.
When the price of rifles went to the sky, Dick’s started selling them again. At first, in their subsidiary Field and Stream stores and then at Dick’s sporting goods. People were posting pictures of them on Facebook.
So here we go again. And this is why I will never again set foot in Dick’s Sporting Goods, they can suck it.
CNN Tries to Figure Out the AR Rifle
. . . but fails horribly. They found this Army General who wouldn’t be an instructor on any range I run. He does everything but safety wrong, which for a newscast is saying something. At least he didn’t point the rifle at anyone like I normally see.
Watch the General go full idiot when he talks about shooting rifle, “…if I wanted to fire this on full semi-automatic all I have to do is keep pulling the trigger. Now I probably won’t hit the target…” I’m sure he didn’t hit the target with his shooting technique.
These are the kind of people teaching the world about rifles… “Houston, we have a problem.”
Broward County Sheriff’s Office Shows Great Cowardice in Parkland
I hope we keep on this. There is something wrong down there in Broward County and it is not the guns, even though the Sheriff wants you to believe that was the problem. I think he is covering for his own faults and incompetence.
We as a nation just need to keep with this and get the reports and the back story of what happened. The Parkland attack could have been prevented by local law enforcement but now 17 are dead. Someone (the Sheriff) should be held accountable.
