Who should know you carry or even have a gun?
Family
- Which ones, wife/husband
- Immediate family
- I try to hide it from my 3 year-old
Friends
- My closest friends know and people that are in the gun culture
- More open then I probably should be about it. Hard to hide when I do this show
- Who should you tell… No one except those that absolutely need to know
Kids
- Age and maturity appropriate
- When they won’t be bragging to their friends about it
- They won’t spout it out someplace in public
- They won’t ask to see it someplace they shouldn’t
- Talk to them about it
- Tell them not to tell people
- Explain to them why they shouldn’t be telling others
- If they make a stupid comment, correct them right there that you are not carrying a gun, tell them later why
Respect other’s views
- Their homes
- Their privacy
- Their wish to not be around guns (in their homes or businesses)
