I like it
- Others have fear
- Use the advantages and disadvantages
- Everything that is a disadvantage turn into an advantage
Using light
- How your sight works at night
- Control your night vision Ruin the other person’s night vision
- Light and Move, Don’t trail yourself
- Don’t put light between yourself and what you want to see
Different Equipment
- Need a Flashlight
- Dark Clothes (not black)
Sound, light, and movement
- Light is first draw of attention
- Sound is second
- Movement
- Shadows to hide you and what you are doing
- Don’t let others use the shadows
- Movement should be slow and smooth
- Can’t eliminate noise all together but get rid of metallic and scraping sounds
Practice
- At night in your house lights off
- Just start moving around in the dark to get familiar
- Try walking through stuff and around things in your home
- Look for darker spots, that’s where things are
- Pick up you feet
- Don’t scrape against walls or hold your hands out trying to find something
- Walls are our reverence points during the day but different shades of dark and light need to be our reference points at night. The door way will be either darker or lighter colored then the hallway
- Learn to walk straight helps to use square shoulders like episode 31
- Truly move silently:
- Square up to the direction you want to go
- Pick up one foot knee high
- Go a quarter to half step forward with it
- Use your toe to feel if there is anything there that would make noise
- Don’t wear squeaky shoes or boots
- Security Pause often; no one can move or be truly silent
Stay Safe,
Ben

That’s a cool fact! Didn’t know that.
Little known fact: Pirates wore an eyepatch so they could simply switch the eye under the patch when they went below deck to see in the dark. Not recommending fighting with an eyepatch on, although it could be intimidating, just sharing.
