Christmas Spending

This year has been great for Christmas already. Just in case you thought there was some end of the world coming because people weren’t spending money on Christmas.

It’s hard to find a good story in the news, but I found the good financial news on some of the podcasts I listen to.

Black Friday sales are up 3% from last year, and last year they were up 8% from the year before.

Cyber Monday was up 19% from last year

FBI reports record background checks for gun sales on Black Friday

So the world really didn’t end the last couple weeks, and I’m thinking it probably won’t end by Christmas.

Take a look at your personal accounts. Should you spend more or less then last year? Spend the amount of money your budget can afford and don’t worry about what the news is telling you.

Stay Safe,

Ben
